From realistic portraits of iconic stars to impressive abstractions, British artist Benjamin Shine used tulle, a rather unexpected sort of material, to create eye-catching artworks called “painting with fabric”. Artfully folding and ironing the translucent tulle fabric to generate various gradients, rich texture and depth, the artist finally created these realistic portraits based on multiple layers and shades.
