Toronto-based artist Lindsay Asselstine has just been working as a tattoo artist for a year, now, she is known for her elegantly nature-inspired tattoo pieces on social media, from animals to flowers and foliage, these sketch-like artworks attract many followers. Lindsay Asselstine works at Toronto’s Golden Iron Tattoo Studio, who attributes her success to the background of traditional studio art. “I’ve always enjoyed art but I never imagined I would be tattooing. To be honest, I think it started as a joke between friends who appreciated my artwork that I’d post on social media. I remember it just seemed so impossible and intimidating at the time. Once I finally mustered up the courage to find an apprenticeship, I completely fell in love with the art of tattooing.” Asselstine said.
