Dutch artist and designer Daan Roosegaarde uses LED and lenses to create an ethereal and immersive light installation that embodies attractive and dynamic optical effect of rippling and rolling like the surface of the ocean. The projection, WATERLICHT, generates a continuously shifting layer of blue light overhead, which is described as a “dream landscape about the power and poetry of water…” says the artist on the his website. Daan Roosegaarde hopes WATERLICHT can arouse people’s awareness of rising water levels and the importance of water innovation. Source
