31-year-old Singaporean Ivan Hoo is a self-taught artist who mostly creates impressively realistic drawings and paintings on wood panels that look like photographs, which are made with pastels, charcoal, and ink. Ivan Hoo draws from real still life objects or from photos taken by himself, like dog’s portrait, coffee cups and cracked eggs. “I have always loved drawing ever since I was a child but I never studied art and am completely self-taught,” the artist told Dailymail. “Then about four years ago I decided to further my knowledge in drawing techniques – in particular realism- and work full time as an artist.”
