Bulgarian artist Christo Guelov turns boring pedestrian crossings in Madrid, those common strips of white lines always the same, into colorful pieces of art. The project named Funnycross consists of vivid geometric patterns intersecting zebra crossings, “Funnycross uses zebra crossings to intervene in the urban landscape,” says the artist. “The metaphor “A bridge between two shores” is the starting point of this artistic intervention.”
