These stunning hair ornaments known as kanzashi are created by Sakae, a Japanese artist based in Narita City, which are all hand-crafted from resin with brass wire around the edges and depending on the complexity take from 3 to 30 days. Sakae occasionally puts her pieces up for sale and her latest auction through Yahoo Auctions in Japan attracted 215 buyers and sold for 400,000 yen (about 3670 dollars).
