In 1995, this massive site-specific work named Desert Breath was created by the D.A.S.T. Arteam in the eastern Sahara desert bordering the Red Sea in El Gouna, Egypt, The team consisted of three members, installation artist Danae Stratou, industrial designer and architect Alexandra Stratou and Stella Constantinides, an architect as well, they spent two years to accomplish their inspiration, after displacing 8,000 cubic meters of sand, the finished art installation covered 100,000 square meters. After 17 years, we can still watch this incredible artwork on Google Earth.
