Inspired “from animal physiology and a love of the fantastic,” born in Markham Ontario, Canda-based sculptor Ellen Jewett creates otherworldly animals sculptures with only fingers and a paint brush. These detailed and delicate clay sculptures are all handmade and no using any toxic materials, “I abstain from all materials; clay, paints, glazes, finishes and mediums, that have known toxic properties…. and has sent me on a journey of unique material combination and invention.” Ellen says.
