It’s a traditional custom that Japanese people have parties and take picnic under trees rich with flowering Sakura branches in the season of cherry blossoms, the pink wave usually starts in Okinawa in January ~ February and progresses throughout Japan until April ~ May. According to statistics, there are more than 300 kinds of Japanese cherry blossom in all.
