Horrible lethal lake in Northern Tanzania that turns creatures into rock-hard statues
When British photographer Nick Brandt was traveling at Lake Natron in Northern Tanzania, close to the Kenyan border, he stumbled across an amazing phenomenon that this salt lake is a lethal place to creatures because of its high levels of soda and salt due to high levels of evaporation, which will kill animals who dip in this shallow lake, less than 3 meters, and calcify them into rock-hard statues.
