Foshan, China based Chen Yingjie is a street artist and painter also known as Hua Tunan, who explored a new way of combining traditional Chinese art and contemporary public art to create his own style. “I’ve formed the monumental image by spraying, throwing and catapulting different hues onto the solid surface, where the layered textures become an integral part of the final result.” The artist said. “Combining traditional, asian-influenced motifs and contemporary public art practices, I have painted the image of a roaring tiger with gold, black and white pigment.”
