When Monkey’s Fist Knot Meets Modern Lighting

StudioKnob’s Ahoy Table Lamp and Kaa Floor Lamp incorporate the nautical Monkey’s Fist knot and the serpentine movements into contemporary home design. Both lamps are hand-woven with nylon ropes and feature bases made of concrete, inspired by modernism, creating a striking contrast between the soft glow of light and the solid foundation.

The Ahoy Table Lamp is characterized by an exaggerated knot, with layers of white ropes stacked on a golden woven needle. When lit, the knot emits a soft halo of light, while the concrete base provides a stable support with its geometric purity and rugged aesthetics. The Kaa Floor Lamp, on the other hand, gracefully ascends along a golden rod, its spiral form reminiscent of the smooth coiling movements of a snake, with the woven nylon rope embedded with an LED light source that is both soft to the touch and flexible.

Both lamps come equipped with a touch dimmer sensor and a leather handle for easy movement, perfectly blending practicality with design aesthetics.
