How to make adorable hugging bear cookies great for children
Maa Tamagosan, a Japanese cook trained in French, who created a cute kind of cookies of teddy-bears hugging almond. Maa Tamagosan shared the recipe and process, you can replace the almond into pea nut, walnut kernel, cashew nut or candies, as long as that won’t melt at high temperatures.
1. Preheat oven to 160°C (320 F)
2. Mix 110g cake flour, 20g potato starch and a pinch of salt in bowl
3. Mix 40g beet sugar syrup, 30g vegetable oil and 10g honey in a bowl
4. Once thoroughly mixed, spread between parchment paper and roll out with rolling pin
5. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the bear shapes
6. Use a tool (like a nail dot pen) to draw the bear’s face, place the almond and have the bears hug them tight
7. Use leftover dough to make the tails
8. Bake for ten minutes, then reduce heat to 150°C (300 F) and bake for an additional 10 minutes
9. Take out of the oven. Mission Accomplished! 🙂
