Canadian visual artist Kristi Malakoff utilizes paper money from countries around the world to create colorful geometric sculptures like flowers, sculptural polygons, etc. In this series titled Money Pieces, Kristi turns the copies of currency from the greenback to the Turkish lira, by folding, cutting and pasting, into these eye-catching pieces. Kristi Malakoff was educated in Chelsea College of Art and Design, holding a BFA from the Emily Carr Institute in Vancouver in 2005.
