The closest full moon 2016 was the first time since 1948 that the moon came closest to Earth, it’s estimated that the moon appeared 14 percent larger and was 30 percent brighter, this lunar phenomenon is called “lunar perigee” or “SuperMoon”. In fact, to the casual observer, supermoon may be hard to tell the difference, especially under the influence of city lights and clouds in some places.
