A one-of-a-kind museum has over 1,700 nature rocks that resemble human faces
In Japan, there’s an odd museum in Chichibu, a city two hours aways northwest of Tokyo, called Chinsekikan (also known as “The Hall of Curious Rocks”) with the owner’s more than 1,700 of rocks that naturally look like human faces. The founder spent over 50 years to collect all kinds of jinmenseki, or rock with a human face, who passed away in 2010, now his daughter, head curator Yoshiko Hayama, takes charge of the museum.
