Since 2004, England-based 54-year-old artist Simon Beck has been creating massive geometric drawings from the shore of New Zealand to the snowfield in the Swiss Alps by trampling across sand or through knee-high snow step by step, on a pair of snowshoes. Before the begins of each site-specific piece Simon needs a precise mapping process in advance with the help of a computer that will guide his precise walking patterns in the snow or sand.
